Just to update everyone who is not on Facebook, I have completed the Certified Nursing Assistant course. Stringent course of 4 weeks 8 hours a day. We covered two chapters a day and tested the next day. My average for the course was 97.7, I felt pretty good with the score. I did however kick myself when some of my test scores were not 100. I felt they were dumb mistakes. My final I passed with a 100% and I also passed the skills portion. I have mailed off for my state testing. As soon as they let me know, I will be taking the state test at the same school. This should be within 2 weeks. So I have time to study and practice my skills.
With this behind me I feel I have opened up the job market for myself. I hope to possibly get on with the hospital or a rehab center.
I have had numerous requests for my green bean recipe. I have given it out verbally and explained it is very simple. I have been asked to put it in writing. So for all those who want to have it written out:
CHERYL'S GREEN BEAN RECIPE
1 - (50 oz / 3 lb) can Green Beans 8 - Roma Tomatoes 1/4 cup Dipping oil (any kind will do, I prefer Mediterranean Garlic)
Set oven to broil, raise rack to second level.
Cover cookie sheet with tin foil. Dice tomatoes and put on the cookie sheet. Broil the tomatoes in the oven for approx 30-45 minutes or until they start to blacken.
Drain green beans and empty into large mixing bowl. Pour in 1/4 cup Dipping oil. Pour in the darkened tomatoes. Mix very well. Pour into microwave safe serving bowl. This last step can be done right before serving, if you are taking the dish to a dinner. Microwave for 3 minutes on high.
I continue the job search.............. I have found a website where I can play games. I know this may sound strange however.......... what I am able to do with playing only these certain games is to improve my typing speed. So I am playing and typing approx one half hour each day. And yes, within one day my typing speed has improved so far by two more words per minute.
When John came back from Iraq on this last tour........ Tracy was told she would be going to Korea for a year. What this meant was that if Tracy were to go away for 1 year, she would be away from the kids and John. John did not like this because........he is always being deployed to Iraq around Halloween until around just before Easter. That meant if Tracy were gone and John got deployed also .....the kids were up in the air possibly going to Grandmas house, for who knows how long........ Well, what they decided to do was to cross train and John would take a top secret clearance job as a courier of top secret papers. This means a move to Alaska........ for three years...
Well.... they figure if they went to Alaska, they would both be receiving overseas duty pay. They would get their overseas tours over at the same time and still be together and with the kids.
wow.........long way away.......... but maybe after the three years.... maybe just... maybe they will get to move closer to Grandma in Georgia?
I know I promised new pictures. So here they are. Daniel's picture is his graduation from boot camp. Since the picture, he has come home for Christmas and just before New Years, Scott and I helped him drive his car out to his home base in Phoenix AZ. He is now living and training for his new job at Luke AFB. He will be working on the fuel systems of the F-16.
As for John, he went back to the Mid East just before Thanksgiving. He will return home again (in CA) in March. (Kind of stinks when you have two little ones at home, but that's the job they choose.)
Tracy has not had to go back to Iraq since she gave birth to Jillian.
Here are two pictures of John with numerous "stars". Some one star, two star, three star and the one shaking his hand is 4 star Generals. He was explaining the suite. The suite is like what the astronaut's wear in space. He is in charge of these as the U2 is capable of going that high. You can see the U2 in the back ground of one picture. This is why we can not know where he is when he goes over to the Middle East.
