CONTINUED JOB SEARCH

I continue the job search.............. I have found a website where I can play games. I know this may sound strange however.......... what I am able to do with playing only these certain games is to improve my typing speed. So I am playing and typing approx one half hour each day. And yes, within one day my typing speed has improved so far by two more words per minute.

Alaska

The latest and greatest from the home front.

When John came back from Iraq on this last tour........ Tracy was told she would be going to Korea for a year. What this meant was that if Tracy were to go away for 1 year, she would be away from the kids and John. John did not like this because........he is always being deployed to Iraq around Halloween until around just before Easter. That meant if Tracy were gone and John got deployed also .....the kids were up in the air possibly going to Grandmas house, for who knows how long........
Well, what they decided to do was to cross train and John would take a top secret clearance job as a courier of top secret papers. This means a move to Alaska........ for three years...

Well.... they figure if they went to Alaska, they would both be receiving overseas duty pay. They would get their overseas tours over at the same time and still be together and with the kids.

wow.........long way away.......... but maybe after the three years.... maybe just... maybe they will get to move closer to Grandma in Georgia?

OK....OK.... NEW POSTING

I know I promised new pictures. So here they are. Daniel's picture is his graduation from boot camp. Since the picture, he has come home for Christmas and just before New Years, Scott and I helped him drive his car out to his home base in Phoenix AZ. He is now living and training for his new job at Luke AFB. He will be working on the fuel systems of the F-16.

As for John, he went back to the Mid East just before Thanksgiving. He will return home again (in CA) in March. (Kind of stinks when you have two little ones at home, but that's the job they choose.)
Tracy has not had to go back to Iraq since she gave birth to Jillian.
Here are two pictures of John with numerous "stars". Some one star, two star, three star and the one shaking his hand is 4 star Generals. He was explaining the suite. The suite is like what the astronaut's wear in space. He is in charge of these as the U2 is capable of going that high. You can see the U2 in the back ground of one picture. This is why we can not know where he is when he goes over to the Middle East.

ALL WORK LITTLE PLAY

I know it's been awhile. I have been working, working, working. I handle the west coast, so my hours are from 10-7pm. est.
1 hour and 20 minutes are spent on driving to and from work. So, I do not get back home until 8pm. I don't get much time to do anything in the evenings. I try to accomplish all my chores on the weekends.

The latest on our home front......well....... Daniel has completed his boot camp training for the air force. Following in big brothers foot steps. At this time he is at Sheppard Air Force base in Texas for his technical training. Fuel line mechanic??? I'm not real sure exactly what he will be doing. Working on the fuel lines for the aircraft.

I have tried to add his picture here in the blog. I'll have to wait for Scott to come home from deer hunting and help me figure out how my new scanner works. I'll be able to scan the picture and save it in the computer.

He has matured quite nicely. I'm just surprised at how much my water bill has gone down.

WORK

Up date on employment.
Real Estate is still in the dumps. I have been writing only contracts for lease purchases.
The working at the doctors office did not work out.
The working at the nursing home did not work out .
My being a domestic goddess and a trophy wife just does not pay enough.
I have been offered a position with a company that manufactures high end plumbing fixtures. I believe this one will work out the best. I'll give updates.
If you would like to check out the products, here is their web site.

Patch work project

here is the latest in a .....so far.... 4 year struggle.

I have been sewing together squares (off and on....."more off than on) to make a quilt for John and Tracy.

They had asked that I make them a quilt in brown and beige.

I am getting close to completing the front side. I have a 6" brown trim piece to add and then the stuffing piece, backing and edge.
Under the piece I am making, you can see part of my own quilt in the green colors.
I believe the reason this is taking me so long is that, 1) I made my squares too small. 2) when I started I was told to make it a queen size and once I started, I was then told to make it a king size.
